Shipping Policy

Any customers with separate shipping and billing addresses are subject to follow up contact. If no contact can be made, your order will be cancelled. Please understand that this policy is to protect our customers from fraud and theft.

Shipping costs are calculated automatically when you checkout. Orders to P.O. Boxes or military addresses require shipping via USPS.

Orders placed by 3:00pm EST will be shipped the same day. All orders shipped USPS (including Express) may take an additional business day to process and ship. We strongly recommend shipping UPS if you need guaranteed delivery by a certain date.

For our international customers, you must call or email after ordering to arrange for duties/customs and declarations before we will ship your order. USPS Express International shipments with declarations greater than $200, incur an additional $15.00 fee for postage/insurance.

Overview

This knife by Joanne Wright forged this hunter from 5160 carbon steel, hand rub satin finished, .157" blade stock and .839" blade depth, hidden tang construction. It was forged closely to shape, ensuring a keen, long lasting edge. A differential heat treatment ensures a hard, keen cutting edge with a softer, resilient spine. The handle has cape black ironwood (Olea capensis) with an Arizona desert ironwood spacer. Black ironwood is an African tree species in the olive family. It has a nice bright tone with darker figure. The handle fills your hand and provides a comfortable grip. A small oval brass guard prevents your hand from sliding over the blade. To keep the knife close at hand, a tooled pouch style leather custom sheath made by Joanne is included. Excellent condition.

In addition to bladesmithing, Joanne has a passion for martial arts which often comes across in her work.
