Overview
This Dress Scottish Dirk by Wilkinson features an etched blade with "Highland Infantry" and some decorative writing on the blade with fullers and fileworked spine, .333" blade stock and 1.285" blade depth, hidden tang construction. The handle has carved brass fittings, a carved wooden grip with brass stud pins, large stone inlay in the butt. Comes with a black leather scabbard with brass fittings, it also holds a companion blade and fork, the blade has a locking latch to it in place, the latch on the fork is missing. Has some scratches and oxidation, otherwise good condition for its age. Comes with a zippered case.

A Victorian Scottish officer’s dirk to the 71st Highlanders regiment. Double fullered blade with faceted back edge, etched with battle honours, maker’s name “Meyer&Mortimer Edinburgh”, the pommel set with rock crystal stone in its scabbard with fitted companion knife and fork. Circa 1860.
