Overview
Note from the maker.
This is serial #9 of my Steampunk/Dieselpunk series. I's a one of a kind, expanding frame, back-lock folder, with eight steel gears that rotate with the knife's opening and closing. With 67 hand made parts, it took roughly 180 hours to construct and is well named... it was a difficult build.
The 4.125" Damascus blade is 60 layers, random pattern, (holding to a chaos theme) of my making. The telescoping frame runs on hardened stainless steel ways and has an OAL of 9.625" when open and is acid etched wrought iron from 100+ year old freight wagon. Closed length is 5.875". Started on 4-26-25 and finished on 6-27-25, its the biggest and heaviest folder I've ever done.
Weighing in at a whopping 2lb 10oz, it's not a knife you'd carry around in your pocket, but it is a conversation starter for sure. Typical with Steampunk or Dieselpunk gadgets, it's a little awkward to operate and requires some finesse when opening & closing. Translation... enjoy, but be careful.
