Shipping Policy

Any customers with separate shipping and billing addresses are subject to follow up contact. If no contact can be made, your order will be cancelled. Please understand that this policy is to protect our customers from fraud and theft.

Shipping costs are calculated automatically when you checkout. Orders to P.O. Boxes or military addresses require shipping via USPS.

Orders placed by 3:00pm EST will be shipped the same day. All orders shipped USPS (including Express) may take an additional business day to process and ship. We strongly recommend shipping UPS if you need guaranteed delivery by a certain date.

For our international customers, you must call or email after ordering to arrange for duties/customs and declarations before we will ship your order. USPS Express International shipments with declarations greater than $200, incur an additional $15.00 fee for postage/insurance.

Overview

The Meyerco 18-XRAY is a Darrel Ralph designed automatic using Darrel's SAS (Slide Auto Safety) mechanism. The release button must be moved to the fire position to open the blade, and it automatically returns to safe mode when closed, keeping your fingers safe from accidental closure. When you close the knife again, the release button is returned to the safe position. It has a black tanto blade with notched thumbrest. Black aluminum handle with tip up or down reversible clip. Has a few scuffs, and some minor wear on the frame, otherwise good condition.

About the Maker

Meyerco

Bill Meyer founded Meyerco in 1997. The design talent for Meyerco is provided by Walter "Blackie" Collins.. A founding member of the Knifemaker's Guild and former owner of Blade Magazine, Blackie holds over 60 utility patents on knife mechanisms and many design patents on cutlery products. Starting in 1975 he has published a number of books on the subject. Blackie was inducted into the Cutlery Hall of Fame in 1996.

Ralph, Darrel

In 1987 Darrel began making knives and the knife industry was forever changed for the better. His designs are not only artistry in motion but imagination come to life for those of us in love with cutting edge weapons. The first knife he ever made was a Butterfly patterned flipper. His first knife sale was five years later in 1992 at a knife show in Cincinnati. It would become the catalyst for over two decades of designs that would set the knife world on fire and raise the stakes for other custom knife makers. In a sense he turned up the pressure and lit a couple of fires in the tactical folder industry. His knives soon garnered the attention of the U.S. Government resulting in a contract to make switchblades for the military. Darrel passed away in 2021.
