Standard Gras pattern complete with functional spring lock. 20 ⅝” T back blade marked Mre d’ Armes de St Etienne Feirier 1879. Stamps on blade are "M" inside a circle and some other hallmarks as well. The guard has some stamps, but it has oxidation so you can't make them out. The handle has two-piece wood scales with brass butt and functional spring lock. Comes with original scabbard stamped "P 5514". Has scratches and oxidation. Good condition for a nearly 150 year old item. This is a French M1874 T-Back sword bayonet for use on the 11mm M1874 Gras Rifle.
