Shipping Policy

Any customers with separate shipping and billing addresses are subject to follow up contact. If no contact can be made, your order will be cancelled. Please understand that this policy is to protect our customers from fraud and theft.

Shipping costs are calculated automatically when you checkout. Orders to P.O. Boxes or military addresses require shipping via USPS.

Orders placed by 3:00pm EST will be shipped the same day. All orders shipped USPS (including Express) may take an additional business day to process and ship. We strongly recommend shipping UPS if you need guaranteed delivery by a certain date.

For our international customers, you must call or email after ordering to arrange for duties/customs and declarations before we will ship your order. USPS Express International shipments with declarations greater than $200, incur an additional $15.00 fee for postage/insurance.

Overview

This Vallotton Sub-Hilt Auto by Spyderco was converted by Butch Vallotton, it features a satin finished S30V blade with a thumb-hole, dual thumb-studs, and notched thumbrest. The handle has stainless steel bolsters, black G-10 scales, stainless steel liners, black G-10 backspacer, and 4-way reversible black stainless steel clip. Nice detent, lockup and blade seating, but if you fire the knife, the kick spring gets in the way of the liner engaging the blade, a little more of the locking liner needs to be removed from the backside. Can be opened manually or as an auto. Comes with original box and papers. Excellent condition.

Vallotton, Butch

Butch Vallotton is considered one of the finest automatic knifemakers specializing in double action autos and for converting manual folders into automatics. He started making knives full time in 1984, making his first auto in 1987. His assisted knife technology is in current use by Gerber, and he has worked with Spyderco and Microtech designing the very collectible Chameleon Double Action. Butch passed away in 2020.
