Shipping Policy

Any customers with separate shipping and billing addresses are subject to follow up contact. If no contact can be made, your order will be cancelled. Please understand that this policy is to protect our customers from fraud and theft.

Shipping costs are calculated automatically when you checkout. Orders to P.O. Boxes or military addresses require shipping via USPS.

Orders placed by 3:00pm EST will be shipped the same day. All orders shipped USPS (including Express) may take an additional business day to process and ship. We strongly recommend shipping UPS if you need guaranteed delivery by a certain date.

For our international customers, you must call or email after ordering to arrange for duties/customs and declarations before we will ship your order. USPS Express International shipments with declarations greater than $200, incur an additional $15.00 fee for postage/insurance.

Overview

This Fish Knife has a mirror polished 440C stainless steel upswept blade with hidden tang. 3/16" blade stock, 1" depth. A-side of blade is hand etched with "April 28th, 2003", "Arlington, Wa.", and "SS-440C". B-side of blade is hand etched with "Roderick Caribou Chappel", "Fish Knife", and "Ser. No. 03". Handle is buckeye maple, with mirror polished stainless steel guard and butt cap (with lanyard hole), and aluminum/ black/ red/ brass. Very light sheath-scored scuffs on blade, but knife is in excellent condition otherwise. Comes with brown leather slip sheath with leather belt loop, and integral stainless steel clip. About the Maker

Chappel, Rod

Rod "Caribou" Chappel named his business, "Davis Custom Knives", after his grandfather Roderick Davis. Rod began making knives around 1973, possibly earlier, and studied his craft under Gil Hibben and Harvey Draper. Rod's knives incorporate his many diverse talents, culminating in both artistic and functional designs rooted in his deep appreciation for perfection. Rod passed away in 2017.
