Layaway Information

Layaway Policies

We offer a layaway plan on select products so you may pay for your order over a period of 60 days. Products that are eligible for layaway will show "Layaway Available: Yes" on the product page.

Here's how it works:

The total amount of the order excluding shipping, tax, or fees is divided into three (3) equal payments. The first payment is due with the order, the second payment is due 30 days later, and the final payment is due 60 days after the order.

There is a $15 non-refundable fee for layaway orders. This fee is added to the first payment along with the shipping and any tax. The first payment is made when the order is placed.

Example: Your order total is $300 plus $12.75 shipping and handling. If you select the layaway option, your payments would be:

  • $127.75 (1/3 of purchase = $100 + $15 layaway fee + $12.75 shipping)
  • $100.00 (1/3 of purchase = $100)
  • $100.00 (1/3 of purchase = $100)

If your initial payment is made by credit card, we will automatically process the 2nd and 3rd payments at the appropriate time using the same credit card information. You will be reminded via email that a payment will be charged. If you need to change this for any reason, please contact us.

For payments made other than credit card, payment must be received within seven (7) days of the due date or the order is subject to cancellation. You will receive a reminder via email that a payment is due.

If you wish to complete payment early and have your order shipped, you may contact us at any time during the 60 day period. There is no penalty for prepayment.

Additional products may be added to a layaway order without penalty. A new payment schedule will be calculated based on when additional products are added.

If you wish to complete payment early and have your order shipped, you may contact us at any time during the 60 day period. There is no penalty for early payment.

Cancellations of layaway orders are subject to a restocking/processing fee of 10% of the order total (not including tax and shipping costs). This restocking fee is in addition to the $15 non-refundable layaway fee.

About the Maker

Sniper Bladeworks
Sniper Bladeworks

Sniper Bladeworks is a collaboration between Lance Abernathy and Jody Muller. Having made his first knife as an early teenager, Jody has over twenty years experience in the knife business and has been a full time maker for five years. Prior to going full time Jody worked for over a decade as a jeweler, engraver and watch maker. He married his wife Ginger in 1993 who attends all the shows and helps work the table. Jody's knives have regularly appeared in the trade magazines and numerous other publications. His edged creations have won many awards at shows through out the US. Lance has had an interest in knives from the time he was a child when he met and became friends with Al Mar of Al Mar Knives. Lance started designing knives in the early 1990s and teamed with Jody in 2006 to create high end tactical folders. Lance was a full time Law Enforcement Officer for approx. 13 years. He worked road patrol, the detective unit and spent nearly 2 years on a DEA task force. Lance served on the SWAT Team for over 11 years as entry, sniper and team leader. This experience is regularly used in his designs. Lance's designs combined with Jody's craftsmanship won the Chicago Custom Knife Show's "Best Tactical Folder" award in 2006. Their collaborations have twice appeared in Tactical Knives magazine and the Blade Annual Knife Book.

"I started making knives in 2000. I have been lucky enough to have some good makers share their knowledge and experience with me. In the beginning Gary Ford, Dennis Phillips and Alex Daniels were a huge help. More recently Jerome Anders, Matt Lamey, Mel Pardue and Jim Burke have been kind enough to answer questions for me. I'm currently on the Board of Directors of the Gulf Coast Knife Makers Assn. I joined the Navy in 1987 as a Corpsman. Served the majority of my enlistment with the Marines at 2nd Division. Did a deployment to Africa and Operation Desert Storm. When I got out I went to Paramedic school and have been one since 1994. Have been a Tactical Medic for 3 different Sheriff Departments. Done some contracting in Afghanistan and am currently teaching Basic and Advanced Medical Skills as a contractor for the US Army. I also rejoined the reserves a couple of years ago and am working with 3rd Force Recon." Season 7 Episode 32 Forged in Fire Champion
