Marfione Custom Knives
Anthony (Tony) Marfione founded MicroTech Knives in 1994. In addition to running MicroTech, Tony also makes custom models and custom versions of various Microtech production styles, which he markets through Marfione Custom Knives, L.L.C. These knives not only offer the quality of MicroTech, but are limited and have the custom refinements designed and applied by Tony. Such pieces are highly sought after by collectors and are destined to appreciate in value due to their unique features and limited quantities.
Burnley, Lucas
Burnley Knives was created in Albuquerque, New Mexico in 2003 by Lucas Burnley. Lucas’ formative years were spent traveling North America with his family where he was raised on a steady diet of adventure in the campgrounds of National Parks and under the tutelage of some of the best action movies of our time. Lucas views knives as a personal expression of independence, self-reliance, and fun—ideas and philosophies he began formulating as a bowie-toting 7-year-old. He designs in a style that he considers to be Post-Tactical™, blending clean modern lines with tactical origins. Above all, he believes that utility shouldn’t come at the cost of beauty. Along with his custom line and BRNLY Brand (limited production), Lucas works closely with companies Böker and CRKT to continue making his designs available to a wider audience.
Steel Flame
Derrick Obatake born and raised in East Los Angeles and has been designing and making jewelry for over 35 years. At an early age he was taught to be a machinist by his father. He is a Graduate Gemologist from GIA and has had formal training in traditional jewelry arts, Diamond setting, model making, casting, finishing and fabrication. He has extensive experience in Die striking, and 3D CAD design. I like to blend old school craftsmanship with new age technology to create an out of the box style that is hopefully refreshing and empowering. The parent company of Steel Flame®, Elements has been in business for over 25 years.
Greg Stevens Design
I love my job and I'd like to think that my products reflect that. I've always had a thing for nice leather and watches and in the Summer of 2005 those two passions (obsessions perhaps???) happened to merge. Blessed with large wrists, standard leather straps never fit quite right. At the time, there just weren't very many custom options, and after several disappointing experiences with some after-market, off-the-shelf products, I decided to build my own strap. I paid a visit to a local leather shop, bought a couple of knives, some glue, some leather remnants, and went to work. After a few days and several failed attempts I ended up with something that I could actually wear and didn't look like it was part of a 3rd grade after school craft project (no offense to 3rd grade after school craft project coordinators). The rest, as they say, is history. My design philosophy is straightforward--I like simplicity and functionality. My products are well-made, simple, classic. I use the best materials that I can lay my hands on and build my products with time-honored, old-world techniques. I like to think that my watch straps and other items have character, substance, functionality, and are a nice departure from a world full of sterile, mass-produced, machine-made products that you see everywhere today. Today, I'm proud to say that I've sold thousands of straps and other items (you really ought to try my belts) to thousands of satisfied collectors from all walks of life living all over the world. While my passion has evolved from a simple hobby into a full-time business I consider myself an enthusiast first and pursue my business from that perspective. I still get excited about finding new leathers and developing new ideas. I don't just want you to like my products, I want you to love them. I currently live with my beautiful wife and three kids in Utah, USA.
Blackside Customs
Blackside Customs started life with one goal in mind: elevating your EDC gear to new heights! With that in mind, we have brought our unique design and style to EDC staples like pens, knives and pocket gear. Not ones to stop with at the 'usual', Blackside Customs has brought our expertise to gear considered off the EDC "beaten path" to enhance your kit even further! Behind the Scenes Blackside Customs was founded by Hank Greenberg, who has over 32 years of experience in the firearm and knife industry. Throughout his career, Hank has consulted for some of the largest firearm companies, law enforcement agencies, and custom knife makers in the world. He also served as the Custom Shop Manager at Microtech Knives for seven years, working hand-in-hand with Anthony Marfione ( Founder of Microtech Knives ) as his right-hand man on projects both stateside and international. Eventually, Hank reached a turning point—after decades of being the “number-two guy,” he wanted to create a company of his own where he could fully express his creative vision. Blackside Customs was born from that drive, with a mission to design and produce innovative tools while forging a true connection with like-minded enthusiasts. Since then, Blackside Customs has earned a reputation for producing world-class knives, precision pens, EDC tools, and more, each piece blending craftsmanship with purpose. Outside of business, Hank is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt under Alexander (Soca) Freitas and still enjoys spending time at the range, training with both long guns and handguns. Beyond his professional and personal pursuits, he’s also a dedicated husband and father to three boys—a role that inspires his commitment to excellence, discipline, and integrity in every aspect of life and work.
