Mammoth Bark and Damascus Linerlock

I began making knives part time in 1992. In 2001, I retired and began making knives full-time. I'm now working part time but continue to make knives. Using the stock removal method, I make small and medium hunters, locking liners, lockbacks, and interframe folders. I use ATS-34 stainless steel, stainless damascus, and Paul Bos Heat Treating for most models but will consider other steel upon request. The blades are hollow ground and most often mirror polished. On most locking liner types I satin finish the blades and bolsters. I especially enjoy handles made from exquisite, exhibition hardwoods but use sambar stag (when available), mammoth ivory, African elephant ivory, alternate ivory and other materials on request. The bolsters and guards are made of nickel silver, mokume, or mosaic damascus. Each hunter comes with a custom fitted leather sheath that I make for the knife. Each interframe folder frame is made of 416 stainless. Black-lipped mother-of-pearl is my favorite insert material for the interframe folders that are high-polished and supplied with a protective slip case.
