Overview

Checkering fileworked liner spines. Dovetailed double end mirror polished bolsters. The inside liners are crosshatch pattern jeweled. Rusty actually describes the jigged bone scales as "chocolate milk" dyed, but they have that autumn color, so we compromised - nice looking in either case. Nice blade action, no play. About the Maker

Preston, Rusty

"I discovered custom knives after retiring in 2003 and made my first knife, a fixed blade, in November 2003. In early 2004 I made my first folder under the critical but very helpful watch of Bill Ruple. My wife Sally and I attended the 2005 Blade Show as spectators and returned as exhibitors for the 2006 Blade Show, which was our first knife show as exhibitors. I am now making mainly slip joint folders. I use Crucible Steel's new Powder Matrix Stainless CPM 154 for blades and springs and 410/416 stainless steel for liners and bolsters. I hope you enjoy my knives as much as I enjoy making them."
