Overview

The most distinctive feature of this knife is the deep blood groove in the blade which provides an outreach of the spine on each side of the blade. The outreach is an integral part of the blade and has been checker filed on each side to serve as the thumb opener in an ambidextrous mode. The grinding of the blades to achieve this effect is a very detailed and arduous process and Ricardo and Roberto Lala have done an incredible job of crafting the blades and the final knives. Each knife incorporates the Ikoma Korth Bearing System (IKBS) which further enhances the smooth, fast and solid opening and lockup. The blade spine thickness from the frame to the beginning of the swedge is 3/16 inch. Perfect center-seated blade. The pocket clip may be mounted for tip up or tip down carry and there is a lanyard hole in the rear of the frame. The handle is contoured with an index finger notch for a secure grip. This is a superb knife and exclusive to Arizona Custom Knives. Blade Steel: S30V Satin Finish

About the Maker

Korth Cutlery (Rick Lala)

Korth Cutlery was formed by brothers Ricardo and Roberto Lala. They started hand-making knives in 1990 and as their work received greater attention and praise they began to expand their efforts and enter knife-making on a full-time basis. The Lala brothers, along with Flavio Ikoma, were the first Brazilian knife makers to adopt S30V as the standard steel for their blades. A collaboration with Flavio Ikoma resulted in the IKBS bearing system. The Ikoma-Korth Bearing System (IKBS) is incorporated in all Korth and Ikoma folders and balisongs.
