Last year marked 50th Anniversary since the Vietnam War ended on April 30th of 1975. JKD has teamed up with Grand Master Ichiro Hattori to produce 50 limited edition MACV-SOG Bowie knife. They were sold quickly to passionate collectors.
Meanwhile, Hattori found 10 leftover blades of the Force Recon Bowie knives which they produced for Boker in 2002 year. They came up in mint condition with Black Gunblued SK-5 carton steel, etched with USMC logo on front and "USMC FORCE RECON" "VIETNAM 1965-1972" on back.
We have worked with Ichiro Hattori to finish 10 blades with Leather washer handles with white spacers and Brass Hilt & Pommel. The Brass hilt is engraved with a serial number of 01/10 to 10/10. It comes with original Black leather sheath with Sharpening stone pocket, and Hattori presentation box.
It features 7-1/2" Gun-blued SK-5 Carbon steel Bowie style blade with blood groove and swedge on back, 4-1/2" Leather washer handle with white spacers, Solid Brass Hilt & Pommel.
Note : Force Recon, or Force Reconnaissance, is an elite unit within the United States Marine Corps specializing in reconnaissance and direct action missions.
