Overview
This lot of knives is a Historical Collection of Dan Dennehy knives and personal knife made by Bo Randall for him with his name on it. The knives are as follows:
This early dagger by Dan Dennehy features a double edged satin finished blade made from an old file, .141" blade stock and .943" blade depth, hidden tang construction. The handle has a brass guard and butt, stacked canvas micarta and brass spacer grip. Comes with a green fiberglass U.S.M8 Scabbard by B.M. Co, it fits perfectly, I have to think the knife was made to fit it. Has some pitting and patina, has a gap between one of the micarta and brass spacers, otherwise good condition for its age. 6.625" blade and 11.5" overall.
This knife comes with quite a bit of documentation.
First is a letter written to Dan Dennehy that included pictures of this knife. The letter basically states that this knife was purchased from an antique store. And that he thought that it looks like a knife Dan Dennehy had made. He states if he could please verify if he made it, and to make a few notes on the back of the pictures. Also talks about a time meeting Dan at the Blade Show in Atlanta. Included is a business card he got from Dan at the Blade Show in Atlanta signed by Dan Dennehy and dated 5/25/95.
Second is an envelope post marked 10 October 1997, which contains the pictures that were returned from Dan Dennehy. The note is dated 10/15/97. It says "Yes, this looks exactly like the knives I was making from files when i was in Saipan (1934/44). The handle is typical of the style I used at that time, your right, it was brass spacers between micarta blocks. Yours sincerely, Dan Dennehy"
Third is a letter from John D Dennehy dated June 20, 2025. This letter basically states that he remembers when when Dan got the pictures and wrote the note on the back of the photo, further verifying the story and the knives Provenance.

Model 1-8 Fighter w/ Brown Button Sheath - Bo Randall made for Dan Dennehy 1964
"The Model 1 by Randall Made Knives was made famous by Allied combat troops in World War II and has since been widely used in all theaters of war." This knife features a satin finished blade with a sharpened top edge, .222" blade stock and 1.171" blade depth, hidden tang construction. The handle has a brass guard and duralumin butt, stacked leather grip with red/white/blue spacers. Includes original brown button brown leather sheath. Has some scratches, has been sharpened, otherwise good condition for its age. Has "DAN DENNEHY" on the blade. 8" blade 13" overall.
This knife comes with a signed letter from John D Dennehy dated June 20, 2025. It states that the knife was made by Bo Randall as a gift to Dan Dennehy after his original model 1 was stolen. It also talks about their personal relationship and that Dan introduced Bo Randall to Micarta!
Mountain Man Throwing Knife
This Mountain Man throwing knife by Dan Dennehy features a satin finished unsharpened edges, .184" blade stock and 1.881" blade depth, full tang construction with leather scales and copper rivets. This knife has a few light scratches, otherwise excellent condition. 10" blade and 15.5" overall.
Set of 3 Throwing Knives
This set of three throwing knives by Dan Dennehy feature a satin finished unsharpened blades, .185" blade stock and 1.385" blade depth, full tang construction with red/orange composite scales and aluminum pins. The knives have been used, has some scratches and patina, a couple of Dings, otherwise good condition for their age! Comes with a brown leather sheath that they all fit into. 8.25" blades and 12.875" overall.
