At Arizona Custom Knives, we sell thousands of consigned knives every year and would like to offer you the same opportunity.  Whether you are a collector looking to sell your knives, or a knifemaker who wants more exposure for your work, our consignment program is right for you.

How it works

Contact us via phone or email with information about the knives that you want to sell. If your knives would be a good fit for our site, we'll have you ship them to us to get things started. Please do not send us any one item with an estimated market value of less than $200. Please note that we do not accept watches with an estimated market value of less than $500.  We handle all the pictures and write - ups, and will work out pricing with you once we receive your knives. Once a knife is sold, you will receive 75 % of the final sale price of the knife.

We are no longer accepting any knives or items with Elephant Ivory of any kind as of July 6th 2016 when the Federal Ivory Ban went into effect. You can learn about the ban HERE.

Consignment Policies


Shipping Your Knives

Shipping checklist:

  • Include all your contact information
  • Include any information you have for each knife sent, including maker, name of knife/model, blade & handle materials, etc.
  • Review the Packing Your Knives page.
  • Please be very careful when sending things in glass cases, they usually show up broken.

You can use whatever shipping method you prefer to send your knives to us, but we recommend insuring your shipment.  We are not responsible for shipping or insurance costs when receiving or returning consignment knives. Our insurance coverage begins when we receive your shipment. We recommend that you insure your consignment from the time it is placed in transit to the time we accept delivery.

Knives should be clean and in salable condition. Repair and/or cleaning fees will be charged if we need to work on a knife to make it presentable and will delay placement on the site.

Due to the large number of consignments we accept each week, it may take up to four weeks from the date we receive your knives to post them on the site.  Holidays and staffing schedules may lengthen this time. We will contact you to confirm that we have received your knives.


We will offer our suggestions on pricing for any consignment knives, but ultimately the decision is up to you.  Some people prefer to let us completely handle the pricing of their knives, and others have specific prices in mind that they want us to follow.  Proper pricing can be the difference between selling a knife in minutes and sitting on it for months, so we will work with you to find a price that will both meet your needs and result in a sale. 

Please be aware that we cannot offer our specific pricing suggestions until your knives are in our hands, but we guarantee that we will only post your knives at prices that satisfy you. Also, this process can take some time. Once we have received your knives it may take 2-3 weeks for us to get to them. We have a perpetual queue that we are constantly working on. Please be patient while we get your knives ready to be listed.

Please do not send us any one item with an estimated market value of less than $200. Please note that we do not accept watches with an estimated market value of less than $500. We reserve the right to accept or decline any knife for consignment for any reason.  Declined knives will be returned to the owner at owner expense

Changing prices

Once your knives have been listed on the site, you will be able to view all of your consignment items in your Member's Account. You will also be able to view past/present payout information so you can keep track of what you have been paid, and what you have coming up on the next payout. 

If you choose to change the price on your consignment item, it will be added to our "Activation List" and will be added to the "Recently Added" section. Everyday (Monday-Friday) we "Activate" the list at 3:30pm EST.  Price reductions must be equal to or greater than 5% of the listed price for the item to be added to the "Recently Added".   Please be sure to actually change the price. If it didn't sell at that price the first time, it probably won't this time either. 

Sometimes a price drop and a little exposure is all it takes to make a knife sell.


We will write a description that represents your knife as accurately as possible.  Although you may provide your own descriptions if you wish, we reserve the right to edit the description in any way we deem appropriate.


We have a scheduled payout once a month, on the second Tuesday of every month.  On each payout date we will mail you a check and an accounting for any of your knives that were sold during the previous month.  (i.e.  If your knife sold in June, you will be paid on our July payout date, and so on). Please be aware it is YOUR responsibility to notify us of any address changes so that we mail your check to the correct address. If you change your address in your customer dashboard, you STILL need to notify us of the change via email. Invalid or wrong addresses will result in AZCK having to cancel the check and re-issue a new one resulting in a $40.00 fee charged to you by our bank.

Other payment methods include, "Hold in Account" - you can hold the funds to use towards purchases, OR PayPal, know that you will be charged the PayPal fees if you choose this method, we CANNOT send the payment as "GIFT". We can also make a Wire Transfer to your account, please note that payments made via Wire Transfer will incur a $75 Bank Transfer Fee.

Please note that we determine the sale date of a knife by when it is fully paid and shipped to the customer.  For example, a knife may be ordered at the end of June and not paid for and shipped until July.  In this case, our consignment payout would be in August for this knife. 

If payment has been made and you have not claimed your funds within 180 days, you will forfeit the funds. AZCK is not responsible for lost or misplaced checks. Re-issued checks are subject to the $40.00 fee charged by our bank.

We offer 60 day layaway orders through the site on select knives.  If you would like your knife or knives eligible for layaway, please let us know.  Your payout for any knives ordered on layaway would be after the knife is fully paid and shipped to the customer.  Your knives will not be sold on layaway unless you choose that option.

 Damage Waiver

We maintain a secure, environmentally controlled storage facility for the protection of your knives. However, we are not responsible for damage or change in condition of your knives while stored in our facility unless due to overt carelessness on our part. Specifically, we are not responsible for rust, cracking of natural materials, or other material degradation.

 Security and Insurance

We have a top of the line security system to protect your priceless items. Security cameras covering the entire facility, motion sensors, glass break sensors, 24 hour monitoring, internal metal security gates covering all windows and doors when the facility is locked down, vaulted room with steel security doors, and climate/humidity control in the vault. We also carry specialized insurance to cover our entire inventory for theft, damage, flood, natural disaster, etc.

 Failure to Maintain Contact Information

It is your responsibility to ensure that we have correct contact information for you including email, phone, and mailing address. If we attempt to contact you and after 3 attempts have been unsuccessful, we will send a certified letter to the last address we have on file.  If we do not hear from you in 30 days for the date of the certified letter, we will sell or otherwise dispose of the knives at our sole discretion. We will hold funds from sale for 6 months from date of the certified letter, after which you forfeit all claim for your knives or funds due.


You may choose to have your knife removed from the site and returned to you at any time. You will be responsible for return shipping and insurance costs.  In addition, if the knife/knives have been on the site less than six(6) months, you will be assessed a $25 handling fee per knife. 

If your knife is listed on our site, it cannot be listed anywhere else for sale.
