Overview
Scout Fixed Blade
American Tomahawk Company
The Scout fixed blade gets its inspiration from the classic American Bowie. The Scout was designed with utility in mind, ATC wanted to create a knife that would be a great fit when faced with a wide range of cutting tasks. The Scout will be a good companion on hikes and around camp and can fit a more tactical role as part of your preparedness kit. The Scout can be used for various cutting chores, food prep, splitting kindling, making feather sticks, cutting cordage, tubing, etc.
The Scout is made from Nitro-V stainless steel with a Rockwell hardness rating of 59-60. Nitro-V offers great corrosion resistance and edge retention, and you can put a practical field edge on it while away from home. The knife features a 4.75" blade with a very durable tumbled finish. The black G10 handles feature vertical texturing that offers a very secure grip without being overly aggressive. Wet or dry, with or without gloves, the handles give you a very confident grip. The Scout includes an ambidextrous Kydex sheath.
