This Bob Loveless hunter, Ebony handled, long bolster knife is #1 of only twenty made for the 200th anniversary of Kiya knife company. Bob Loveless knives are extremely popular in Tokyo, Japan where he is appreciated for the master craftsman he is. Kiya is a company founded in Tokyo in 1792 making very special knives for professional and amature chefs. When they wanted 20 knives made for their 200th anniversary they asked Bob Loveless, which says a lot about a man when he receives that kind of respect from other fellow craftsmen.
The wood scales on this beautiful Ebony knife are perfect and the red liner makes a great combination. Long bolster knives like this are frequently sought out for engraving, but this one is as pure and clean as the day it left the shop. The signed sheath is standard, but the solid ebony wood case is very seldom a part of a Loveless knife set.
