About the Maker

Burke, Dan

"I sold my first knife in 1976 and then went full time in 1996 with the intentions of making nothing but slipjoint multiblades. In the last few years I have really concentrated on English style multiblades from the great Sheffield period. I like to concentrate on more small gentleman folders, but occasionally make a large style knife. Won best folder at the Blade show in Atlanta in 2003; also won best folder at Blade Show West in 2003, and best utility hunter at Blade Show West. 2003 Blade Handmade Best Folder award. I was featured in Blade magazine December 1999 'Profile in Steel' by Butch Winter, and have had numerous other articles in Blade and Knives Illustrated. I have had knives in Blade magazines 'Knives Annual'."
